More movement, wrong direction
It's been a while again since I've last posted. That's good! At the end of 2013 CA125 was 12 so we went back to checkups every 6 months. It seemed like a long time, but honestly I didn't think about cancer too much at all. Last week the blood test on May 2nd showed the numbers up to 35, we retested on May 7th, up a bit more to 41. The plan is to retest again in 4 weeks. My onc is still saying he doesn't think it's ovarian cancer, but it's hard to not worry...

Well, a month passed and now it is up to 49. I have the choice of doing a scan, or waiting another month to see what the CA125 decides to do.
ReplyDelete(Thurs. July 3rd, the 6 year anniversary of my original diagnosis...) Well, these results aren't what I had hoped for, but could be worse... ca125 had gone up to 75, so I got a same day appointment (!) yesterday for a CT scan. I got the results of that this morning and it showed a couple of growths, one possibly a peritoneal implant near the liver and the other something to do with the iliac vein and lymph node. I'll learn more on Wed., they're going to try to squeeze me in to see the oncologist.
